THE MASTER’S MISSION

The Whole Word for the Whole World

Kevin and Beka Deitering

Missionaries serving with The Master's Mission since 2003

Kevin and Beka serve in Archidona Napo, Eduador, as the first missionaries placed by The Master's Mission in South America. Kevin and Beka are desiring to provide a living example of the gospel of Christ in their family and home, as they live their lives daily among the community of Archidona. Kevin is serving as interim pastor within the church they are ministering, with the hope and desire to train up faithful men who both desire and are capable to teach the Word of God.  The Deiterings are pictured with their children Ezra, Joseph, Tessa, Evelyn and newest addition, Thomas.

Dear friends,

It’s a rainy Monday morning here in Archidona. We are always glad for the cool weather that rain brings, but we’ve had so much of it lately that we are ready now for more sunshine and less mud. I think this rain is to help us sympathize with the spring you all in Ohio have been experiencing. The boys have invented a pitching game they can play on the porch and the girls are thinking of building a tent for their dollies. Kevin will most likely have a day of accounting and office work, probably with a run to the post office worked in somewhere. He is also organizing and buying supplies for when the rain does stop. He has been working on putting a lean-to off the side of the garage. It’s coming along nicely and will give us extra room for the batting cage we brought back for the neighbor kids.

When we got back in March, Kevin was asked to help lead a Bible study with the local firemen. It has been a great opportunity for him and really an encouragement too. They keep it simple, reading a passage of Scripture and discussing what they’ve learned. It’s always exciting to see God’s Word working in the hearts of people who are sincerely studying. Please pray that these men and women are drawn closer to the Savior through this.

We are hoping to start an English class once a week for our neighbor kids. They are really excited to learn more and are already off to a good start since they are over to our house nearly every day listening in on our conversations. We’ve caught them imitating us and their accents are pretty good! We plan on keeping it fun with lots of songs and games. Maybe this will help them succeed in their English courses as they get older.

Thanks again to all of you for your prayers and support. We love hearing from you and hope you are doing well!

Beka for us all
