Kevin and Melodie Kejr
Missionaries serving with The Master’s Mission since 2012.
“The things that you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these things to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
2 Timothy 2:2.
These instructions given by the Apostle Paul are just as applicable to us today as they were to Timothy. And with God’s strength we want to act upon them. We are in the process of outfitting to become missionaries to Kenya, East Africa. We have two kids, Caleb, born January 27, 2012, and Aleah, born April 6, 2014.
Melodie and I both grew up in West Africa as the children of missionaries. This instilled in us a strong love for Africa and a desire to see God glorified there. I have a strong background in construction as well as time in the US Army as a combat engineer. As well as taking care of the home and kids, Melodie enjoys working with various women’s and kids ministries.
As young adults we both felt called to return to Africa as missionaries. God has taken us back to Africa several times in various capacities since then. We were able to attend the Master’s Mission training program in 2011. The end of 2013 TMM asked us if we would pray about going to work in Northern Kenya. We are in the final stages of preparation and support raising to return to Africa long term.
We are currently planning to go to a town called Loiyangalani in the desert of Northern Kenya. We seek to model Christ in our lives and build relationships. These relationships will then give us a platform to share the Gospel and disciple others. This is our reason to be there, share the gospel and disciple to empower and raise up solid believers. Besides the typical church, Sunday school, and Bible study aspect of missions, construction, community development, medical help and other opportunities will comprise our days.
We are currently planning to depart for Kenya in the end of 2015.
We are being sent from Wellspring Church of Charlotte, North Carolina.
