Description:  TMM is a training and sending organization for missionaries wanting to start new work in relatively unreached areas.  The Training Base is situated on 1500 acres of densely wooded mountains with a lake and water falls.  On-site training facilities include an 8,000 sq. ft. training center and mechanical shop, a quarry with rock crusher and sorter, horse and cattle barn and goat pens.  Spring Break at TMM is students coming from various colleges & universities during their break to work on projects that help in the development of the base.  In addition to working on the projects, they hear about missions in various parts of the world and are challenged from God’s Word to live for Him in going or in supporting those who go.

Major Projects:  Will vary, the possibilities include: clearing mountain ridge for an airstrip.  Radio tower maintenance.  Mechanical Shop maintenance.  Auto mechanical and body work projects.  Welding projects.  Painting and staining boat docks and buildings.  Digging and pouring foundations.  Clearing for new family & youth camping area.  Building retaining walls/posts for pond. Seeding and fertilizing.  Road work.

Accommodations:  Housing and meals are provided at the training base.

Travel Arrangements & Cost:  If you are planning your own trip your costs include your travel to and from school plus $25/day per person for meals, lodging, and insurance while at the mission. If you are coming with a campus group, inquire with your trip coordinator.

Letourneau University

Miscellaneous:  The trip is not all work - recreation includes: canoeing, hiking, volleyball, basketball, etc., entertainment in the evenings.  Fellowship with students from other Universities attending the same week.  You will learn what it takes in spiritual and practical preparation to be used of God in missions.  Opportunities to minister in local churches and in the Native American community can be arranged based on interest and schedules.
